About Us
A family operated business since 1992 opened its doors in originally in North York but worked its way to Rosedale in Toronto via a detour on Queen Street. After approximately 12 years in Rosedale in beautiful surroundings we moved to Thornhill at 7569 Yonge Street in July 2005. After five years we made our move to Oakville, Bronte Village right across the Farmboy Plaza (previously Sobeys). One of the few of the Antiques Stores in this area, it is a quaint shop right on the corner of Jones and Lakeshore, the store is jam packed with anything you can imagine, a decorators haven and treasure hunters quest.

With a wide variety of antiques from the all over the world we carry everything from art to silver, from Rugs to Royal Doultons, our specialty knish is high calibre items from France, Germany and Russia. At any one time you can find many museum quality items in stock for sale.
Most recently we have been very active with the Senior Residences and Centers, helping our valued Seniors with appraising their heirlooms and antiques. I was interested in a Danish sterling pepperette I'd seen online as I already had the matching salt cellar. Alex responded quickly and was upfront about a small chip in the enamel that wasn't clearly visible online. I decided it was something I could live with so proceeded to buy it. Shipping was fast and the piece was well packaged for international post. I'm really pleased with the piece -- the chip is unnoticeable (I had similar items sold to me elsewhere as perfect that were in worse shape). Communication was excellent throughout the process -- I'd definitely do business with Treasure Antique & Appraisers again.

We are in the midst of downsizing, and had a few pieces that were passed on to us from my parents. Before attempting to sell them online, I wanted a sense of how much they were worth. Alex responded promptly with helpful information about our items for a very reasonable rate. We learned that furniture restorers will overvalue items in order to get business, so I recommend a consultation with an appraiser such as Alex before deciding to invest in restoration. On a whim, I filled out a form for an online appraisal of a few antique family heirlooms. I had uploaded photos and waited and within minutes I received a response from Alex with further instructions. After sending the required information and payment (which was incredibly reasonable) I received a detailed appraisal of each piece. Aside from just loving the items and their sentimental value I didn’t really know much about their value or origins other than what I tried to research and what my family said. I am really pleased with the information that Alex provided. In as much as my items are currently not in high demand and I’m not sitting on a gold mine, I’m still really pleased that Alex took the time to give me an idea of their worth and their origin. I was actually more interested in their origin and dates of manufacture (or thereabouts) than the value as I would never part with them. The level of service provided by Alex was stellar. He was responsive, professional and knowledgeable. This was a really positive experience. Thanks Alex!!!

I contacted Alex after reading the reviews and am pleased to say the positive feedback is very much deserved. I inherited some flatware and had no information regarding its provenance. Alex responded to my query promptly and when pictures were insufficient, we were able to schedule an in-person visit. He is very professional and courteous.
